My name is Sarah Hawthorn, I am a Registered member of the BACP and have qualified at level 5 in therapeutic counselling. My practice is humanistic led, I believe in client autonomy and that they are the expert in our relationship. I am a qualified foster carer and a care leaver myself which has really informed my work with trauma when working with adults and children.
Practice and approach
I have worked with children and young people (CYP) as part of my training within the charity Place2Be. In my private practice I work with adults and young people. I feel that my work with children has informed my work with adults. I will use art, play description and analogy when working with adults. If it feels right to helping them process.
